I was listening to radio stations like Classical 96.3 and really enjoy the voice of some of the hosts. They speak not only fluently but with a quiet background their voice are so silky and nice (esp when they speak French !)

That got me thinking is there a genre of audiobooks that are hi res audiophile quality that's like someone reading a story in front of you? It's not music but it might be an interesting listening experience.

Do such recordings exist?

I've been an avid Kindle, and/or Kobo user since they were invented.
I have read, and continue to read every day of life.

I've tried a few audiobooks, but find that they put me to sleep.

I don't believe that "audiophile quality" audiobooks exist, but hope that I'm wrong.

Hope this helps, del Sol
