These speakers have a similar MSRP at their original country.
Totem CAD 3300 ( BP $3195 in uk) Atc SCM19v2 $2000 british pound (CAD 4600 in Canada).
I auditioned the a ATC sounds very neutral, musical and pretty gentle overall.
I have not listened to the Totem .
Any one can give some comments please?
I am currently using a Mac integrated.
Thanks

The Signature One is pretty room friendly, more exciting of a listen, demos well...par for the course with a Totem product. The tweeter has a bit more sparkle, transparency was a strong point to my ears. I prefer the Forest overall if you have the space, it was stronger with varying music genres.

The SCM 19 v.2 is more balanced, faster bass, has a deeper soundstage and more defined instrument separation. A much better sounding speaker at high volumes. More careful amp pairing and room placement is required. The performance is more comparable with Totem Fires.

Unfortunately my maggie is still way ahead than my newly acquired ATC19, in terms of airy, sound stage and base response....

Pics of the setup please! It's silly to directly compare Maggie's and a standard 2 way speaker. The closest I've heard are the Volent VL-2's and they are still completely different.

You can be wrong if you have the wrong amp or source. From what i recall, Totem is picky when it comes to the rest of the equipment.

Late reply, I had totem model 1 years ago, could not tame the metal dome tweeter, don't get me wrong it's a fantastic speaker with the right gear behind it they need tube gear which I could not afford at that time, I would go ATC if It was me.

Model 1 & Signature One are 2 very different beasts.

Thankyou for all your replies.
I ended up with the ATC 19 with a good deal.
I did not gave a chance to listen to the totem but I think the ATC can handle my amp better.
