Just acquired a brand new THALES Simplicity II Tonearm which was set up on Sunday...

It is a marvelous piece of engineering and extraordinary well made...and coupled with my LYRA Skala cartridge proves to be a match made in heaven!!! :D

Nice,

I saw this at DC's today in fact. Looks like a work of art- like only the Swiss can do. The Breur had a similar delicacy to it.

I would be interested in your longer term impressions versus other arms you might be familiar with. I run Lyra Etna SL and Atlas.

I spoke to Don Corby before purchasing the arm and as he had nothing but good things to say about it I went ahead...come to think of it...Don advised me on getting the LYRA Skala as well about 2 years ago...he is definitely one person whom you can trust to guide you in the right direction. 8)

I can tell you this...the name must have been chosen purely for marketing purposes because there is absolutely NOTHING 'simple' about it or setting it up!!!

I must say, it is beautiful. And seeing the build quality, no doubt it sounds very good.

But now Voodoo, your arm/cart deserve the best head amp.
Well, I know a guy who's making one...

Nice going, Alan. Has it really been that long since you had the Planar 3?
