I need I believe a Type A to Type B usb cable. what should I get and where to get it....preferably within Canada.

A nice one priced reasonably is the Belkin Gold series hi-speed USB .About 25 dollars at Canadacomputers.

I’ve used Monoprice cables before. They work fine. You could probably find something similar at Staples or even Princess Auto.

IMO, I'd forego the $5 or $20 cable that people are recommending and get a proper audiophile USB cable. Without getting into a cable debate, you can buy a good one from Audio Sensibility or Audioquest for less than $90. There is a difference in sound IMO.

Why spend good good money on a cable for a USB input when the folks that made the DAC admit it’s not the best? I have some good cables including Audio Sensibility but wouldn’t spend big money in this instance. The OP asked about a $2 cable, I’m guessing spending $100 isn’t his plan.

I have just ordered one of these: No experience with it other than the quite positive reviews I found online. Time will tell, and I do think cables do make a difference much of the time (either you believe or not - but its all in the hearing is believing - right??)
