How many Avantgarde speakers owners here ? I know it will be a small group of people. Just curious to know how many owners we have here :).

I would like to know what kind of amplification you use. Just looking for an opinion on matching gear.

Thanks in advance

How about former users? I had a pair of Trios for just less than a year.

I used an Emotive Audio's Caeli-LE Monoblock and a Cary 805 Monoblock.

The LM 518a, very nice amp/integrated, hooked up to Elacs right now, switching to my Dou's probably tonight.
Another integrated I have used was an Audiomat Opera..also really nice, very quiet..important with these speakers.
If the LM doesn't match up well, I'll probably go back to the Opera.

They are best with tube gear. Try a separate tube amplifier with a pair of power tube monoblocks with very low watts! Triode Lab at Toronto is very well recommended with the Avantgarde. Good listenning!

I forgot to add one additional amplifier that was stunning with the Avantgarde speakers and that is the Yamamoto A-09S. It's a 300B based amp putting out 8w.

Finally got around to the Duo's, was enjoying the LM with the Elac X Jets too much.

So far so good, I like what I'm hearing, super fast and dynamic, after an hour I made a slight adjustment to the hum pots on the LM and I'm quite satisfied. Will do some more listening tonight.
