Check EBAY.. My rule of thumb is to try and stay under $8.00 a cassette for a Chrome tape. That includes the shipping prices. Metal tapes are far over priced in EBAY.

Ouch! Is that what they go for nowadays? They sound on par with maxell XLII on my BX300. Really nice tape.

2 years ago I bought 10 sealed TDK MA110 metal bias tapes on ebay for $95.00. At the time it seemed like a fair price. Back then I was spending money like I was printing it. I haven't opened any of them yet. What a waste of money. Maybe I'll flip 'em in a few years. Might make a profit...might not. If I break-even then so be it.

Yeah, they're good if you actually use them, and they're still OK- these are the Type II ones I've collected, so many XL types! I received a box of pre-recorded tapes and some are stunning, I wouldn't be taping over those but I have the machines for some more mixed tapes or CBC recordings, Ya gotta love it.
