So I just picked up this pair and am already a little in love with them, they sound lovely, not very efficient but really nice top end. The problem is, I don’t know much about them and can’t find anything about them online.

What I know: biwireable, 6 1/2” audax woofer, 1” morel tweeter, Canadian made, seems similar to the Baton they made but has a front firing port.

The previous owner was told they were very very early models from before there was a naming scheme and just serial numbers, but he wasn’t certain.

So, any ideas?

Oh sorry I wasn’t clear, I’ve got a pretty good idea of the history of the brand, these are just a myster as far as the model, I’ve found info on the Baton, Alure, Cygnus, Crystal and Esquire from that era, nothing about a two way floorstander with a front firing port though.

Yeah I popped an email off to Swans earlier, not holding my breath as they're a fairly huge company on another continent but never know.

Did a bit more poking around though, the bottom of the enclosure comes off to reveal a sealed compartment for the crossovers, decent gauge wire and all Bennic cement resistors and foil capacitors and one bigger Multicap on the high frequency xover. Pretty happy with everything I've found so far. Oh and it's inch thick MDF under the veneer which explains the weight.
