So who has tried one of these? Reviews are all over the map.

I had one for my 1080P Panasonic Plasma TV. It really does improve the image, without creating artifacts. When I got a 4K TV, the Darbee was no longer compatible (with 4k).

Either way, I find the image of my 4K TV very sharp, that I would not recommend a Darbee with a 4K TV (if it is someday compatible with 4K).

I recommend it for a 1080P TV.

Cool, I was thinking of trying one on the projector. I only run 1080p mainly from an apple tv or cable box.

If you end up purchasing from Amazon.ca, the return policy is very good should you find the performance inadequate. I would say definitely worth a shot.

I have one on my Epson 2030ub and Elite 110 inch cinegrey 5d screen. Run at about 35% enhancement. Improvement in contrast is easily noticeable. Worth the money.

Do not do this.

MadVR + a high end Graphics Card is the be all end all solution to proper video presentation. Chroma upscaling is done *very* poorly on all devices, MadVR is the solution (for reference, I'm maxing out a graphics card thats $700, just to watch 1080p video)
