There are many many tweeters.

Soft dome , Aluminum dome...

Forget technology...which tweeter sounded excellant to your ears. I don't want high pitch ..i wanted it more spacious sound..more clarity i mean.

Do you think buying old vintage cabinet and use part express speaker with some Transmissionline trial and error on old cabinet..may be copy from designs that u see in the web...can i make better sounding speakers?

Or just fullrange speaker to avoid all crossover expenses?.

Morel and HiVi make some very nice units.
A good sounding speaker has to have the right mix of ingredients and "cooked" properly as well. The design possibilities are endless.

Newform Research hands down IMO. Now if I could get close to that sound from a regular box speaker I'd be happier in my living room :D .

I don't know about you but I listen to speakers.... This is kind of misleading question in a couple of ways. I think many audiophiles that critique the sound of a tweeter are actually criticizing the upper mid range, that's just my hunch based on how I've heard folks describe aspects of the frequency spectrum. There is so much more content under 3-4KHz that it is very difficult to teach your ears to hear only a tweeter. If you did decide you'd like to disconnect the mid-bass drivers then the sound of just the tweeter would be strange and comparison difficult unless you are an avid speaker builder who knows what to listen for. That brings me to the other problem , the overall sound of the speaker is very much determined by the crossover, cabinet, and integration of the mid driver to tweeter, the same tweeter can sound dramatically different in different speakers.

Hill Plasmatronics. No question! If you have not heard of it, have some fun and google the name.

Do you have some examples of either of these points.

One very interesting tweeter is the one in the Energy Pro 22.
Concerning vintage tweeter, I will say Celestion HF-1300 and HF-2000 Kef T-27 Coles 4001.
Actual tweeter, I like the Vifa ! So sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet 8)

JET III ELAC the company builds them as it does with the woofers and so.

check the site http://www.elac.com

"The JET tweeter was developed to perfection on the basis of the famous 'Air Motion Transformer' by loudspeaker pioneer Dr Oskar Heil. Its principle: a concertinaed foil membrane is driven by a strong magnet system of neodymium rods.

This 'motor' drives the air considerably faster than the conventional pistonic technique. High sensitivity and extraordiary dynamics are the result."

I like the ribbon in my maggies, but from previous years I've always had a fondness for the 1" Peerless Cloth dome. Smooooth.
