You mean nail polish? Yeah it's probably why so many women are nutso lol.

Have you tried Locktight instead?

Yeah, I know HD has locktite something...she bought some nail polish thing and does not like the colors and dumped to me, and I figured to make use of it. Works fine, but really smell terrible.

I strictly prohibit her from using nail polish on my daughter...from the smell I can tell is poisonous, and kids tend to find a way swallow anything...

BAF2017, some friends were expecting sort of ACA "2.0"...turned out to be ACA 1.1, some are "disappointed", some are "confused"...so, what's the deal with ACA 1.0 to ACA 1.1?

What have been changed?
-Circuit-wise: Comparing with ACA 1.0 (with R15 - 2.21K which added later on), there is only ONE change to the circuit, i.e. 68.1K (R12) resistor changed to 39.2K. That's it.
-Above change is tiny, the circuit looks almost the same, what about PCB layout...well, to allow "shorter" inner height chassis, 2 IRFP240 MOSFETs moved to sides, now it looks different....LOL

Simply put, if you already have an ACA with R15 patch, what you need to do is to parallel the 68.1K resistor with another resistor around 68.7K then you have upgraded to ACA 1.1.

Should I upgrade? ACA 1.1 has less output power, and higher current...well, I have attached a bigger picture below...lower noise, more damping factor, more flat curve and etc...

Now should see that ACA 1.1 is better specs-wise, but will ACA 1.1 sound better? I don't know yet...but it will be fun to play. Enjoy!

I just noticed they are now up to ACA 1.6 and they are now taking orders for July delivery. Looks like a spectacular piece of kit!

It's diyaudio ACA kit 1.6...not ACA 1.6 (ACA is Pass's design)...there is a difference;-)

Hi palladio,

Are you using a stereo version plus two monos into the same speakers, via the external crossover? What speakers are you using?

I am running DIY Open Baffle. Visaton B200 and Eminence Alpha 15. Crossover is at 250HZ. Tweeter is Vifa D27TG-35 with back removed, 1uF cap. The monoblocks run the top end and the second Amp runs the woofers. I am very pleased with this setup. Note: Listening is 90% classical and I prefer moderate sound levels. Frank does beautiful and meticulous work, I build his speaker boxes and he builds my electronics. Love being part of the CAM community!

Got an email from diyAudio this morning informing me of a shipment, complete with tracking #. Turned out to be for the chassis that arrived 3 weeks ago.

Anybody get anything else? Like the boards, parts etc? Something that looks like an amp lol?

The time is approaching.... 8)
