why not just go with something like this:

http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/details/ ... fesionnel/

i have the first gen version (xti2000) since about 10years now and its still like when i first bought it, it can drive literally anything you throw at it, handles 8/4/2ohm, DSP through USB with a very nice software, very customizable, x-overs, eqs, time delay etc... i personally use it for subs but did use it to power speakers many times over the years, its a great beater/backup amp...

might not have the "charm" or unique sound signature of some higher priced amplifier, but for raw power and tuning capabilities, i doubt you'll find better $/perf ratio... and it still sounds pretty good considering..

just a thought ..

It's all about what you like.

I like Byston's "sound", a piece of wire with gain. No colour.

My "front end" is all Bryston. PMC speakers.

All of that said, it is back to what do you like? If you want "warmth" Bryston is not likely your choice for an amplifier, if you want detail and brutal honesty Bryston moves to the top of the list.

I had the MINI Tz twice.
Drove them with a HEGEL H300 initially then with a 4Bsst2 and with my actual 4B3.
I also had another system based on a second pair of MINI Tz with a B135 Cubed.
I sold that system when I moved.
I preferred Bryston to Hegel.
Not that Hegel isn't good, just preferred Bryston on the overall presentation.
And also wanted to go "separates".

I really liked those MINI Tz.
I now drive MODEL Tz with my 4B3.
I will never sell those speakers. ...as of tonight... ;)
But just to tell you, I'll be looking for a used pair of MIDDLE T or MINI Tz (again...) soon to build another system...
I do believe like a few other guys here that Bryston did an awesome job with R&D with reference their speaker lines.
Personally, I'm very satisfied with the T line. They are real keeper.
... And Bryston customer service is gold.

Anything by Simaudio. Keep it Canuck!. :)

For a 4 ohm impedance speaker a high current amp is very beneficial. Simaudio/Moon amps "double down," ie double the wattage output with a halving of resistance.
