Hi all...
I have never been one for gimmicky stuff but lately ive picked up a couple of tweaks.
As i am a tinitus sufferer i sometimes have to sleep or rest with ambient sounds to mask my tinitus.
Having tried earbuds only made my T flare so i tried to put my system on in the living room and listen in the bedroom. It was ok but it got me thinking about a Bluetooth speaker for the bedroom.
Cam ads did not offer much nor did amazon so i took a trip into Bestbuy . Yeah i know.
After checking out Skull Candy and others including HK and JBL the salesperson showed me Marley.
Wow what a great sound compared to the others and it was stylish as well. Seeing how it will probably be wallmounted it has a handcrafted wood baffle in front and looks great.
If anyone else has tried a portable Bluetooth speaker thats worthwhile please share.
Thanks all...

I have two Cambridge Yoyo S in the house. They are the best of there size I've tried. But they are portable and sized accordingly with an 18 hour battery if that's what you're looking for. Otherwise Peachtree Deepblue is my favourite under $600 But is very large and powerful. More like a modern alternative to the boombox you'd bring on the deck.

The Yoyo s goes for about 70 bucks more than the Marley at 180$
But i grabbed the Marley for 100 bucks new.

Living in Mexico for 6 months a year and leaving my stereo behind in BC I have gone through a few different Bluetooth speakers.
Best 2 by far are the Jambox Big Jambox and JBL Charge 3.
I used the Jambox for the last 4 years down here and thought it was excellent. I used it outside around the pool and inside as "my stereo"
I just bought the JBL Charge 3 this year and I am very impressed with it also. Fairly loud good bass very clear and they both last for a couple days playing +/- 8 hours at a reasonable level outside.
I only switched the Jambox out as it is not water proof.
Failure was a Altec Lansing that the speakers blew after only 3 months looks cool but failed.
Have a Eco Gear water proof that works ok not loud enough for around the pool but good for movies using a tablet no TV here!
+/- 5000 CDs on hard drive through jRiver or streaming Radio Paradise

have you tried placing the earbuds underneath your pillow?
I know I cannot sleep with ear plugs or buds in.
Tried some good quality buds running off my ipad...works in a pinch....for me anyway.

I have tinnitus also and have regularly used a small pillow speaker like this which disturbs my S.O. less than my bedside speaker:
