jnaudio,

Interesting speakers. Just wondering what the power output of your 300 SET amplifier is as the speakers have a rated power of 25-75 Watts. I assume at max about 8 watts per side.

Do you have this amp and speakers setup in a small room not requiring a lot of volume?

Curious how much $$ are these speakers going for as I'm looking for something small for my bedroom?

They look like nice little ones.

I recently DIY'd some wide range driver based speakers, and building up well braced enclosures takes a lot of time - let alone making something that looks decent (I failed in the latter!) - that takes a LOT of time.

Good to see people enjoying some crossoverless speakers. It is a different musical presentation when you're using active speakers.

A quick google search shows a review from audiophilia.com, indicating they were 1500-2k depending on finish (I assume that's USD)...so definitely NOT on the cheap side of things...

As far as I knew, I thought we were the only Alta Audio dealer in Canada.

The Alta Audio Solo retails for $999 USD in matte black and $1,499 USD in Rosewood. The full range driver used in the Solo is the same as the midrange driver used in the Alta Audio Lelantos which is $8,995 USD. The price on our site converts to Canadian retail.

No problem. If there's another dealer, that's fine, but as far as I knew, we were the only current dealer.

There are quite a few excellent high-sensitivity speakers being made right here in Canada.....Unity, Coherent, Devine, Reference 3A, Vivace...just to name a few.
