I'm in the process of rebuilding an Oracle Delphi mk1 , I will be mounting a new Jelco 750 D tonearm on a custom Delrin arm board. I would appreciate suggestions for cartridge's mm or high out put mc that will work with my Bryston 1B pre amp . Ideal budget is around 500 but may have room . thanks for your time and expertise .

Here's one vote for an AT150MLX if you can find it within your budget.

I love my Linn Adikt on that tonearm. Sounds smoother than my 2m Black, but still satisfyingly detailed. The third cartridge I use and like more than any other I've had on the 750 is the Denon 103R. You'd need s step up for that though.

Im seriously considering Orfton 2m line of cartridge's . The bronze with integraded head shell is very interesting . Any experience with this line ? I'm learning there is a lot to cartridge /tonearm matching . Thanks again for the great recommendations.

The Ortofon/Jelco is another pairing favoured well. My concern with the integral shell would be ensuring the overhang is correct.

I have the 2m Bronze with the 750 and it sounds really good. The bronze replaced the dynavector 20x2l that didn’t sound as good on that arm.

I use a Nagaoka MP150 and MP200 on mine. They both work really well.

I purchased a Hana SH from Audio Eden. It was slightly more, but well worth it. This version works well with moving magnet inputs.

I have heard lots of praises for the Hanna, can I run that cart off a mm phono stage sufficiently ?

Yes. It is designed for that loading and out put. The low output version is meant for mc inputs. I’m using an LFD mm phono stage

I'm using a Denon 103 with my Jelco 750, my SUT was made for the 103 and sounds very nice/balanced. I definitely am curious about the Hanna carts though.
