I understand you can filter the Ads by “For Sale”, “For Sale or Trade”, “Dealer Ad”, etc.

What I would like to see is a filter that can filter out the "Wanted" Ads, and keep all the others.

Is this something that would be helpful to others in their search for buying items here?

Regards
Ohms

Yes - would definitely be a plus.

Lists all the items for sale or trade.

Doesn't the 'For Sale or Trade' filter do that already?

"For Sale" will only show For Sale ads, but none of the others like Dealer Ads.

I just want to what is for sale, and not what someone wants without having to do 5 different searches...

agreed.

the "filter" gives you the for sale, for trade, for sale or trade, wanted, dealer ad and premium ad options.

default is all classified types.

oh... I see what you mean.

Guess I was being too literal....one would think that "For Sale or Trade" would include items for sale only and also include dealers.

Unfortunately it does not work that way.

The same could be done if someone does not want to see "Dealer Ads" but all others...

Why would someone want to exclude dealers?

That is just an example, (Dealers charge Taxes), maybe someone wants to see all ads that are not containing "trade", that could be an option...

Actually they don't always charge taxes (shh....don't tell anyone).

Not sure why trades would be a problem either, unless the seller is refusing a cash only transaction.

There are 5 categories for someone selling something, you need to do 5 different searches to eliminate the "Wanted" ads, one category for someone looking for something, I could not care what someone else wants, only what is available to me to be purchased...with or without taxes.

Just saw a "Best Offer For" Category that you can not filter...

Ohms

I agree.
Thinking for a brief moment that you've finally found that hard to find thing, only to realize it's a wanted ad is quite annoying.

BTW: "Binkythecat", how is your post dated Dec 20? Right now it's 6:30pm, Dec 19. Are you from the future?
