Seeking advice/solutions. My Primaluna integrated amp does not have a headphone stage or a line out. Local tech has offered to route a line out by way of one of the existing RCA’s so that’s a nice option for headphone amplifier. Secondly something passive directly from the second set of speaker outputs could work and would take vantage of the sweet sound of the amp without affect by outboard amp. Any suggestions for the latter? I don’t really want to DIY this, so seeking some off-the-shelf solutions and/or general comments on this conundrum. thanks.

I should add that I understand some tube amps don’t respond well to a common ground if installing an attenuated set up via speaker outs. But I don’t know much about that.

If you could find a QED MA18 that would work well but they are no longer made and hard to find. I personally found that a dedicated headphone amp was better than using the MA18 with the Dynaco ST35 I used to own. If possible, try some inexpensive way of wiring up your headphones to the speaker outputs first to find out if you are happy with the result.
