Hello everyone,

I am going to try some different coupling capacitors in a EAR 834 Line. The original caps are Evox MMK. So far I am looking at Mundorf ZN, Multi Cap PPFXS, Hovland Supercap, and Clarity Cap CMR. If any one has experience with any of these caps, would you please share your findings.

Thank you,

Greg

After reading his blog (many moons ago), I tried out the Amp Ohm polyester-in-oil aluminum foil caps. Incredible caps!

Unfortunately the company closed shop in 2010. You can still buy them since (I believe) a few suppliers bought out their remaining stock, but the prices have skyrocketed.

I've had luck with the 630v Clarity SA/CSA and 630V CMR.

Multicap RTX or Relcap Teflon, PPFXS is good without the cost and size - but still expensive

Thank you to every one that chimed in. At this point I think I am going to try the Mundorf Mcap Supreme. It might be an upgrade from the EVOX MMK.

Greg.
