Hi all,

Here's a sneak peak at a proposed new version of 'The .1' (The Point One).
I know, I know - I really should look up the term "hiatus", shouldn't I? :P
It starts with the new v2.0, in which I remove the the thick rubber jacket that normally encases the conductors and insulation, and replace it with a heavier/thicker version of the fiberglass sleeve I use in v1.0.
A braided copper sleeve is added, which would be grounded only on the wall plug side so a ground loop is not created, as well as an upgrade to an all-aluminum plug housing.
Thoughts?

Ordered a couple of cables from “The Mad Scientist “
What could you expect for under $200 each?
Well to my surprise these where great looking
Cables very heavy and appear to be very well built
Using these cables on an older pair of krell mda300
Only had them in my system for a couple weeks
So there really not burnt in
But they sound as good as they look!

I ordered two pairs of speaker cables. The quality of craftmanship is excellent and you'd have to spend a lot more money to beat their sonics, and even then you may find a cable that is only slightly better. For under $200. these cables are a no brainer, even if your budget is $1000 - $2000. you should try NRG cables. Your ears and wallet will thank you.

I've never used any Monster products but, I've been though a slew of interconnects and speaker cables. I presently have 2 Silnote 1 Verastarr, and 2 Audio thrills interconnect. 1 Audio Design Planus, 1 Alpha Core M2, and 2 pairs of NRG speaker cables. I find the Silnote interconnect and the Planus speaker cables to be really special. The NRG cables are very good cables and I wouldn't be surprised if they were better than the Monsters. I'll go out on a limb and say the NRG cables were on pair or better than the Zu cables, Morrow, Verastarr 12.ga Silver/Copper wire. The Planus speaker cable is the best I have used and the NRG run close.
