Just $4.50 for this mono Japanese pressing purchased from the aforementioned antique mall vinyl vendor. Jaye P. is probably better known to most CAMmers' for her off-color antics as a panelist on The Gong Show in the '70s'. But she was a helluva singer too.

This one remastered for stereo by RVG in '65.

Although it would have been nice to have the original LPs' from the 2 reissues, I figured that if I ever found them in above average condition (circa '57 and '58) they would cost a small fortune. So I'm happy to have discovered these at a fair price. All 5 LPs' appear to be in VG+ to NM condition but we shall see when "tha needle hits tha record". $12.00 for each double LP set and $4.00 for Down Home Piano.

I haven't bought any LP's in about 8 months, since we sold our house and packed up the vinyl setup. Moving again in 12 months, so TT and vinyl is staying packed. Anyway, couldn't resist picking up a few new ones to have ready when full system is back up and running.
Here's what I picked up the other day:

Picked up a milk crate of records the other day at an auction, $30! 11 Ventures albums within, a very cool Martin Denny Best of ... South Pacific Lounge music from the late 50's, it's excellent! 4-5 hifi test records, many others. A good find all around.

Picked up a re-release copy of Pink Floyd's 1971 Meddle Lp. Never even knew it existed so it was exciting giving it a spin. Imagine listening for the first time an album from a band as iconoclastic as the Floyd :) .

I must be stuck in that period because I also picked up the re-release 1969 "It's a Beautiful Day" album by the band of the same name. And I have to admit also that I know nothing of this band save for the song White Bird. We are also in the throws of moving so I haven't had a chance to sit down and listen to it yet. Something to look forward to.

It's a Beautiful Day is a fabulous album. And, on a side note, if you are into Deep Purple as well, give a listen to Bombay Calling on IABD's album and wait for the amazement when you realize the song was done by DP with a twist.

One of the greatest debut albums in the history of Rock 'n Roll: an intoxicating mixture of beautiful ballads and hard rock. It was the bands' magnum opus. Sadly, they faded fast.

Picked up this one recently. Haven't heard it since Q107 used to spin it beside Boy George, Soft Cell, SRV, etc in the 80's.

There's even a video! Lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KXlBeziPJ4
