Greetings - I am trying to build a power box to power some of my pro-ject box-design components. Pro-ject makes them but not available to Canadians - go figure. I am attaching 4 x 18V devices and one 2x48V amp. With my little knowledge I have sourced what I need for the 18V outs - but am having a very hard time getting advice on the 2x48V implementation. I am intending to use 4 18V modules that fit into a 6 slot box - then run a barrel connector to the device. For the second connection I am trying to find 2 x 48V inserts and the cable to connect to the amp

First thing I need to know is what kind of connection is in the picture

It's just a 3 pin DIN connector. They come in all shapes and flavours....for eg

Hi zman, looks like this may be what you need to connect to that box.

Thanx to all for chiming in - very valuable information that I can use to TRY and explain what I want to the "technical" support folks at the vendor. Shouldn't need to do it but - the support so far has been depressing at best! Pictures links etc ignored.

A bit of advice for others going there - their capacity seems to be able to answer one question at a time - if that - so be patient.

Thanx Again

What kind of vendor are we talking about as you stated you're doing a DIY? For something like this you probably need more than one vendor to source the various pieces.

Looking at the image provided I use something identical/very similar for connecting an outboard power supply to my equipment. There is an accompanying plug which goes with this jack. Mode Electronics is the importer here in BC. Mode Electronics is well represented in Ontario. Just Google Mode Electronic Distributors. Hope this helps.
