I bought 2 sets of GC's and would also like to compare this second version.

I'm very interested in comparing these to my existing Cardas loom. Please place my name on the list. I am in Southern Ontario/GTA/Hamilton area.

If the GCII ever makes it out west, I would like to be included on the tour. (one other Edmonton Area CAM member has already asked to be part of the tour).

I already have the original GC so would like to do a head to head comparison.

Hello folks, apologies for not getting back to this thread.

We had to be sure we could fulfill the immediate orders and then, of course, the next batch of materials had to come in. Now we can see to getting at least one cable out there on tour and probably two of them. Monday Tuesday, approx, for the first person on the still nebulous list, to be shipped to.

I’d love to try one of these cables

To date I’ve only tried monoprice, bjc, or the higher rated cheap ones on amazon

Thanks in advance

Teo Audio GCII RCA Cable "Round Robin" tour.

Like the title says.

We're going to try out a 'round robin' tour of canada (mostly Ontario/Quebec, I expect), for the new GCII RCA cable.

I guess we'll see what people think of it.

Cable is ready to go....

Graham is probably the first, as he expressed an interest in it and was the first buyer of the original GC cable.

I’ll bite Ken. What’s the procedure. And just promise me there wont be a GCIII. Gotta be honest and say I don’t know how the original GC could be bettered.

Cheers
Graham.

Hello Graham, the first one has gone out to you just a few hours back. It should arrive tomorrow.

When you are done listening, you can send it along to the next name and address on the list, which I will provide.

We'll probably do a return to base camp (Teo) and inspection, then back out again, every two-three trials. We'll play it by ear. ugh. Pun almost intended.

This GCII cable is close to being burned in, according to the buyer who returned it and immediately upgraded to the Kronon cable.

Prepare to be surprised.

We should probably close off this thread, I think there are enough names, for the time being, at the least...

To everyone: apologies for the delay in getting this started.

Ken,

How will we know if we are on list or not?

How many days are allotted per person?

John

Still not phono compatible, then?
Line level involves uV and mV too, so what's different here? Capacitance, inductance....?

Those are 'Excellent' questions. Perhaps, they need 'proper' addressing.
--
To begin...

'Personally', I would first begin by measuring the Tip-to-Tip Resistance (R) of the Signal Conductor for 'said' Interconnect Cable.
Then, I would ask myself the following Question:

"What happens to our Current (I)...

... If our Voltage (V) is small (as in the mV Range or even uV Range) and our Resistance (R) is 'Relatively' Large?"
--
Using Ohm's Law (I = V/R) and some really, simple Grade 3 Math (since, we already know what our Voltage is)...
We can then calculate our Current Flow (I).

Now, we can use the 'Power Equation' to calculate our Power (P = V x I).
--
Of course, "It goes without saying"...

That Power (P) within an electrical circuit is only present when BOTH Voltage and Current are present.
Therefore, when Voltage is present but there is almost no current flow ('I' is 'approaching' 0 (zero))...
Your Power (V x I) dissipated within the circuit -- Must also be 'approaching' 0 (*I.e. it is 'beginning' to resemble an 'Open-circuit' condition).

Thank-you!

OK guy's well have to close this down for now, and see how many we can get to. The first cable going out was slowed down by serving orders first ...and only a few will be going out, and then going the rounds. thanks for your patience.

One last thing. Something we've always noted: When we get the cable into people's hands - then the doubt disappears.
