One question would be..
Do you need a display or monitor to get thru the menus to play an audio BlueRay.

I have tried to play various video concert BlueRays in my 2 channel sytem but can't play most of them because you need to see the onscreen

prompts.

No. All players will have the option of auto play. This means as soon as you insert the disc it will automatically begin playing. It will be in the players settings. If the disc has multiple options four audio then all you need to do is hit the audio button on the remote to cycle through the various options.

To the OP. The obvious choice would be one of the players from OPPO. Although OPPO Digital recently ceased production of their disc players there are many available used. The BDP 103/105 would likely be the best choice as the newer 4K players the 203/205 are commanding premium prices right now on the used market while the 83/83SE, 93/95 series are getting a little long in the tooth now.

If used isn't your thing then both Cambridge Audio and Arcam currently make Blu-ray players with audiophile sensibilities that should offer excellent sound quality comparable to the OPPO players.

From my understanding, Cambridge Audio has discontinued the CXU HD.

I am using the Arcam BDP300 and am very satisfied with SQ and reliability, I've had mine for 4 years. I chose it over the Cambridge Audio. However, I don't know how it compares with the Oppo.

Oops, missed that!

Are you asking for yourself? I have a Cambridge 751bd. I think the DAC in that is very good, but not exactly to my taste so I just use it as a transport. but I think it can only output 16/44 digitally. I don't know what resolution BR audio is, but I don't think it can be output from most players to an external DAC.

I currently have the ARCAM BluRay player and it was a replacement for the CAMBRIDGE,
I use it exclusively for HT multichannel video and audio .

(1) The video performance improvement by the ARCAM compared between the two was minimal, but the multichannel audio performance by the ARCAM is a step up .

(2) the OPPO and the CAMBRIDGE share the same motherboard made by the same supplier made in the same factory ..... the CAMBRIDGE had different model DAC chip.

(3) They both provide decent multichannel audio playback capabilities but if two-channel audio performance becomes an important decision factor, then it’s no comparison.....be forewarned that they both get smoked by my stand-alone high-end 2-channel CDP/DAC player .

BIG POINT: WARRANTY

I’ve had my ARCAM for about 4 years flawlessly ...it has a 5 year warranty
My CAMBRIDGE only had a a 2-year warranty and it suddenly and catastrophically crapped out 4 months after warranty expiry. The costs to repair exceeded its FMV at that point, so it got junked and replaced with the ARCAM.

Also using Yamaha BD-A1060, bought from Visions.
Cost new was less than the repair estimate for dead Marantz 5007.

I do, but I just use my OPPO BDP-103 as a transport and output hi-rez audio via HDMI to a Bryston DAC. The internal OPPO DAC is OK, but nothing special.
