Also, I am not a fan of EQ at all after the mix is done except maybe for live stuff but not drastic! To me, EQ is cheating! ;) Are you going to build a perfect room? My background comes from a pro audio studio school of thought which always seeks to reference and produce music on a most true sounding flat system i...

Cheers and Happy 2013 everyone!

I'm looking to make an improvement to the system (2-channel, analog) and am considering buying a second sub. My current sub is a Paradigm DSP-3100, which in MHO punches well above its weight-class due to the feature of room correction. Seriously, as a sceptic I could not believe the improvement in ...

Agreed - its not only guilford - there are other companies that make panel fabric too - but I have yet to hear any suggested in this thread. That company too - will only use industry standard approved fabr...

And it is a myth that all you need to do is be able to breathe easily through the cloth. When you breathe through the cloth, breathing should not be without a little effort. Thats if you still want to fabricland the operation - but if you want a precise finely-tuned fabric - you need to go with the...

Acoustically transparent means air can get through easily. Fabricland has :speaker cloth. It's excellent--very easy for air to pass. In fact, it's the same stuff on watson lab speakers. It's not broadcloath. To check is a cloth is anygood, cover your mouth and breath through it. If it gives resistan...

Hello. Just regarding the fabric for the acoustic panels suggested in darskifx's post a few posts back - make sure to use proper fabric meant for acoustic panels. Such fabric is not available at fabricland. The fabric used makes a huge difference. A few years ago, I started my operation with some ba...
