The well renowned Sota Sapphire - and a very nice example thereof. Be hard to find a nicer one.

Condition has to be a 9, as compared to several other unrestored examples.

Note - photos showing white specs - just a bit of dust - not damage.

My best sounding table - ever - out of probably 30 I've gone through, many of which however not close to this league.

With a low hours Dynavector 10x5 Moving Coil cartridge - High Output so you can use witn a MM phono stage

Pro set up

If you know what this is, great - if not do some research.

You can still talk to Sota in the US who are very nice helpful folks who support this table still.

I am quite sure the famous sapphire "wafer" as used for bearing surface is intact and not cracked. The table was properly shimmed and packed in original box before I moved it to present location. No noise..

Syrnx LE-1 tonearm. - late model. I was calling this an LE-2, as did guy who sold it ot me - and maybe the builders called it a 2 as well? Anyhow, theres no real info online as to any differences - so best to assume its an LE1, only late in the model run.

Seems to be agreement that this is a good sounding arm. Non removeable headshell. The arm can be rotated for azimuth adjustment.
Some info and manual on vinylengine.com

Needs to have the anti skate worked on - I broke the wee fishing line working on the set, but that's all it needs far as I can tell.

No other functional issues.

Sounds very good without antiskate actually. Just have to take care at end of the record, as the tonearm heads for center pin.

For what its worth, in my experience the Dynavector 10x5 is best sounding cartridge I've encountered - by quite a margin. Not that I have a lot of experience with costly carts, but have compared to vintage V15 type 4 and 5, Audio Technica AT33 (probably closest and v nice cart), Grado Gold, Ortofon MC20, Benz MC20E2, vintage M91ED, AT440 and 440A, And a bunch of lesser carts. 10x5 kicks butt on them all.
Using an outboard phono stage - nothing special Jolida JD9.

Am also listing a v nice Panasonic (Technics) SP10 Mark 1 without tonearm. If it sells first, probably pull this Sota off.

I'd consider selling without the cart.

In central Alberta.

Prefer local sale - as I hate shipping turntables of any kind, let alone one this nice with delicate sapphire wafer.

But may consider shipping - so long as you assume full risk. No returns, no refunds if shipped.

I'll talk to Sota people before I move this table, to be sure I am packing it correctly.
