Like many of you this all started as a hobby as a young man, for me I was 13, my main influence was my best friends father, who at the time had two incredible systems that he would allow me to experience the works of many classical composers, the Jazz greats and once in a while would let me sneak in a few of my own rock classics..
His 2nd system was an all out SAE system old school including the electrostatic hybrids and a transcription TT. His Main rig was a stacked set of Dayton Write XG10, Audio Research SP10 mk 2 and a pair of Dunlap Clarkes biamped, a Linn LP 12 loaded running a Denon cart and his Technics SL 1000 mk 3 also running a Supex. Plus an SAE tuner, and horrible fulton cables and around 5000 albums.. many years later when I was in my 40's this man passed away, his passing reconnected my friendship with his sons and as an incredible gesture, after realising his influence on my life career choice, gave me his entire system et al. I have it all to this day and use some of the gear daily... As a professional, I have been working in this industry since I was 15 years old, learning as I want along and eventually getting involved in both the retail side as well as an OEM provider of industrial design for several OEMs both in Europe and North America to this day. I believe its this combination of the years I've accumulated under my belt, and the unique experience I bring to the table as a behind scenes designer that provide a unique perspective and the ability to guide my clients as effectively as do.
Too much to list, mostly vintage gear and an assortment of new products that I am continually testing and evaluating.
