So far I have a single buying experience on the Canuck Audio Mart and I ended up having mixed feelings about it. Several months ago I bought the DENON PMA 50 from the member hdav (Pablo Morrison, http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/userprofile.php?user_id=16619). In our communications with Pablo, I stressed out on several occasions that I buy ONLY new electronics in manuf. sealed boxes with original invoices. Pablo reassured me that this is indeed the case and there were no issues. I checked out his feedbacks (one negative) and decided to give it a try.
There were no problems with transaction and I received my product shortly after the payment was cleared. First problems were noticed when I opened the box. It was clearly a used unit - resealed box, tons of the fingerprints all over the unit etc etc. Cherry on the cake - no power cord and no original invoice. It was espeically disappointing, since I received such a firm guarantees from Pablo and there was no place for any miscommunication. I contacted him right away and he agreed that judging from the images I sent him it was indeed used unit (DEMO) and his supplier made a mistake and sent him a wrong box. It is at that moment it felt like deja vu - I read the same story he came up with when he answered to another of his buyers - that single negative feedback ( from the user AudioDuck, http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/userfeedback.php?user_id=16619&type=negative). He continued with giving me two options - discount or returning of the unit. I requested $200 discount + he should have send me the power cord and the original invoice. He agreed upon these conditions and I received the #200 discount. After several months of the waiting I received no power cord, nor invoice. It was not much of a hassle to get the new power cord at the local thrift store, but I did call him on the invoice. He promised me several times to send it to me. It never happened.
Overall I'm pretty much happy with the unit itself, but all this infantile and unnecessary lying about simple things sort of spoiled the deal and proved it once again, that positive feedbacks are not 100% reliable - there are an exceptions. I would not recommend hdav as a trustful seller.
