Just got an used PCA-2 preamp around 2 weeks ago, along with some nice features, it's a class A, zero feedback designed. And I contacted it's customer services. Something cleared, something not confirmed but assume I'm right. But one thing not answered yet.
Ok, the top cover small corner area right over the pre outputs is very warm not just during in operation but also in standby status. To me I guess it just due to it's a class A circuit, but why in standby it's very warm too? In the manual it is said in standby it's in very low power consumption, says only several watt. The email to the customer services has no answer yet.
Should some CAMers tell? I'm very thankful.

You could contact a PS audio dealer.

The preamplifier was off production shortly after released. The rumors saying they didn't get a good money making on it. BTW, the PS audio is near the Ayre acoustics.
So I think better to ask PS audio directly, but it's been a week no answer yet.

One thing probably like this: you can name 7 inputs, and assign different gain(+/-10db) each for the inputs, but didn't say is there different on RCA, XLR output gaining at output end. Seems for the XLR balanced, it's 16db (10 + extra 6db) according to the email back to me.
So I set the first input1 (xlr input) gain to +4db, to get +10db xlr pre-output to my Ayre V-5xe, because the Ayre matched preamplifier, the K-5xe MP preoutput gain is +4db for RCA preoutput, +10db for xlr preoutput.
