Be careful when you buy used LFD cables, lots of knock offs on the market. Are you talking about Spiroflex BiWire? Send a pic if you can of the cables in question.

Ive had 3 sets of LFD cabling from low to top range, and i used to own the best preamp, monos and phono stage they offer.

For comparison:
Spiroflex: Very full sounding cable, lots of bass.
Grainfree: Nice balance, more refined than Spiroflex
Ultima Silver: Very open, transparent, 3d and natural sounding. There is a perception of less bass though.

If you are looking for a very full sounding cable that works with gear other than LFD, call the gentlemen at Audio Eden and go for the Spiroflex.
