A few questions.

Are they reputable?
How hard did duties/taxes hit?
Any preferences for USPS or Fedex?

I'm about to spend a few thousand so I need some reassurance.

They are reputable and the cable I bought from them is excellent. But they are not cheap. The cable was $580USD with $46.45USD for shipping by FedEx. It did arrive fast. I placed the order April 30th and it arrived May 4th. It came with a $69.85CDN fee which I assume was tax.

Some big cables you're ordering.... :D

I bought many times from them. Moon-Audio is not a problem but as usual FedEx is costly. There is no escape with them. Not sure about USPS and high price items. Safe side: UPS (even more costly) and FedEx but at a price.

I’ve dealt with Moon Audio a number of times and never been disappointed. They’re definitely reputable, no question at all. Taxes, duties and exchange rate suck when buying anything from across the border.

when shipping via ups, they fold their brokerage fees into the price of shipping.

lower tier of ups slow shipping.... and you add the exorbitant brokerage fees.

Opt for express shipping and ups folds the exorbitant brokerage fee into the shipping cost.

at that point, the ups shipping, via express (2 day express, a option available in the USA when they ship out, but not when shipping out from canada) is actually a few bucks cheaper than other places like fed ex. UPS does not advertise this.

However, be it noted that almost the entire audio industry in the US, the wizened ones that is, Brick and mortar shops and whatnot, tend to prefer to ship by fed ex. Less problems.
