Hi

I checked the forum, but couldn't find any existing threads, but what are the experts thoughts on buying/cleaning used IEMs?

Thanks and take care,
Shayne

I have done it many times.

Bin the tips, I am not using anyone else’s.

I clean the actual iem with alcohol, then a cleaner car wax. Use the wax brush tool, and it’s done. Never had an issue.

+1 on alcohol wipe down, but only acrylic. I wouldn't purchase second-ear silicone

You have to ask yourself, why?

Do I really need a used pair?

^^ they're also extremely UNcommon....well for humans, don't know about pigs : )

Nah for reals, if you had an ear infection you wouldn't be using your iems. Regardless, cleaning with alcohol would kill it anyway.

I hope all who post here actually own iems :\

I would not do it for the same reason I would not buy used underwear.
