Just think it would be cool to have a night mode option like a light bulb on/off. This site is bright!

Edit; like youtube or reddit.

There are tons of extensions that will do this for whatever browser you are using.

If you're using Windows 10, It has a night mode for your display, in settings.

There will be a variable brightness adjustment on your device, perhaps in "Settings"

Apple has night shift option, not just dimmer. Figured others would have it too.

Photo examples. It has nothing to do with which device, app or browser. It is a website thing. It could be awesome CAM

You never mentioned you were using Android. Google night mode for what ever browser you are using. If your browser of choice does not have night mode, you have many other options. Just to name a few - Chrome and Opera browsers have a night mode built in. Firefox and Dolphin browsers have an extension that can be installed. Tapatalk is a Forum browser, will not work for browsing web pages.

Night mode within the Android OS reduces the harmful Blue light – it’s brightness can be adjusted and can even be set to a schedule to automatically turn on or off. And if you are fond of a black background with white fonts, you can try changing your theme. If your stock Android Launcher does not allow this, try installing one of the many Launchers that do. Nova Launcher is rated as one of the best and will most likely improve the performance of your phone.

Your choices are endless!

You above examples are device settings, not a feature on the website.

Endless choices? Not one does a simple night mode that websites are starting to do because it is not an app, extension and the like affair.

Night mode sucks on google and or droid. I tried it for all of two minutes months ago and that for another reason not just a pleasing night mode reading experience.

No. The examples shown are website not device.

The firefox one looks like it may work. Will try. But a website doing it is the best way. Not sure how difficult it is for a webmaster though.

Screen capture of Firefox. The “Dark” Extension allows you to customize the colours to your choosing. I don't use it so these were the default colours. It is a device and or app setting.

It is rare that you will see a website that allows a Dark or Night mode. Youtube has just introduced it but in the past people used one of many extensions.

The reason being that extensions are just not as extensive or good compared to a website doing it or choosing what or how they want it to look like. Youtube looks pretty good now and Reddit is a very good simple example. The future looks br..dark
