I’m in old blighty right now. Home to some of the greatest audio products ever made. I’m trying to find out where British people post their stuff. It’s not usaudiomart, Craigslist, kijjii,

Any suggestions?

Nope, no one uses it. Looks like eBay is the only one.

If in the UK, you can score some great gear, pack it up,and send it home to yourself. Lots of gear on eBay that 'refuses to ship'. and it's cheap.

Almost as much fun as the old days of financing trips by buying Cuban cigars.

Use hifi engine to look at the schematics, so you can see if the units come with country specific transformers, or with 'universal' transformers, where they can be easily re-wired to 120VAc from 240 and 220VAC.

Many of the older NAD units, like the 3020's, have universal transformers, so they can be shipped to canada, and re-wired.

I'd love to try this stunt in Japan.. the pickings are insanely good and will easily finance trips. Fantastic gear that does not exist outside of japan and that the Japanese refuse to ship or even communicate with you.

Part of why the JDM car market is getting to be so ..er..common. Way cool cars... that were japan only and are now old enough to legally import.

Having done searches on HiFiShark enough to learn the search often leads to Gumtree for UK, and ebad.com more often than their own uk site.

As for Ken's foray into the Japanese subject, try Jauce.com to simplify shopping. Its is pretty easy.
It is an intermediary similar to the ebay program, but independant, who handles the goods and money as well as translation. Their packing is fantastic.

Ok, it looks like everyone just posts it n the London Craigslist or eBay. The London Craigslist though seems to be rife with sketchy scammers. I contacted one guy about an unreasonably low priced set of atc 100 and apparently I have to go the the Isle of Man to hear them. And the store he runs doesn’t have any internet presence but I can send him cash and he’ll send some photos. Hmmm, no thank you.
