Last night my wife and I attended a concert by Hamilton based jazz vocalist, Diana Panton. The concert was held in the Wolf Performance Hall in London (Ontario) with Guido Basso on trumpet and flugelhorn, Reg Schwager on guitar and Neil Swainson on bass.

What a lovely evening of music, Diana has a very sweet voice (and personality). She is a high school teacher (French Literature). The other musicians were top-notch as well, Not to put any over the others, but some the solo runs by Guido Basso were very touching, he is an artist par excellence.

If you have the chance to hear her in concert (check her web site for the schedule) it would be well spent. Otherwise, her music is available on CD, vinyl, and Tidal (probably other streaming services as well).

Thanks for the intro L-Man. Streaming her album "Red" via Tidal at the moment. Enjoyable & interesting voice.

Yep! Saw her at the jazz bistro a few years back, have many of her CD’s. Also noticed there’s a release on pro studio masters that I’ll probably DL. With Guido would have been a great show!

Her album, "When the Moon turns Green" is on sale now on Prostudiomasters (24/96 for $15.29). It has classics like "Moon River" and "Moonight Seranade."

^ Great album! She has a beautiful, pure voice. Great accompaniment on this recording by Reg Schwager and Don Thompson. I hope to see her in concert this summer.
