There are lots of specialized veneer suppliers, some available to the home woodworker, some that want orders of hundreds, or thousands, of square feet! The bigger the order you have, the easier it is to get really exotic woods.

Search around on the wood working forums, if you're looking for something specific...

For an awesome selection of domestic & exotic veneer & the best selection within the GTA, although they are in Burlington,

Try Windsor Plywood.. That is where I purchased my veneer. They carry or can access all sorts of exotic woods and veneers. Beware though not cheap.

A&M wood specialties are in Cambridge on Eagle St., opposite Riverside Park. They may have what you’re interested in. They do have a website for you to browse.

Spent a lot of time and money at Burlington's Exotic Woods on both Veneer and wood. Great place.

Hi, CEDAN is excellent: http://www.cedan.com/produit/index.php?&id=-1
I have recently seen beautiful kitchen cabinet well executed, impresive african exotic woods: http://galleriadesign.ca/en/portfolio_p ... -kitchens/
And I do use myself mostly their walnut, kevasingo, mahagony, zebrano for my speakers projects.

Bubinga, Indian Teak and Koa, wow those are nice! My speakers are Tineo and I love the finish.

I buy a lot from jdcveneer on eBay. They will ship to Canada with the Post Office if you ask them.

Windsor plywood isn't that bad either, but they don't carry anything exotic in Manitoba. I prefer paper backed and Windsor doesn't carry it.
