I am hesitating in buying these cables. I have the sneaky suspicion they sound bright and fatiguing.
Comments from users much appreciated.
Many thanks for obliging.

In my experience, not at all. I've had a set for about 7 months. Using them with a PS Audio BHK amp and Joseph Audio Pulsars. They are easily the best speaker cables I've had in my system. I can sit and listen to them for hours on end without any hint of fatigue.

I did not find them bright, but they did tend to suck the life out of music. Sterilized it, if you get my meaning.

It's interesting how cables perform in different systems, or perhaps how different people hear things differently. In my system, that would be one of the last things I would have said about the Vivat. The Vivat's replaced some Acoustic Zen Holograms and my first reaction after the search was that they added life to the music in comparison to AZs.

A bit clinical anti-septic and two dimensional on reference electronics , yet I feel this might be more of the reference equipment simply being too good for this more budget minded cable.

My comments were in the context of Harbeth 30.1s, driven by a $6k integrated.

I’m not surprised the Vivats would ‘wake up’ a system vs. AZ Holograms, which from my experience were quite laid back/dull. I recall swapping out the AZs for Nordost and it was night vs.day thing. I suddenly had a top end.

The Vivat, at least with the Harbeths were extremely ‘tight’ sounding, which was good in some respects, particularily with Harbeth, but tended to lose the Harbeth midrange Magic. Nordost and Crystal Cable in particular speed and tighten things up, but retain the midrange texture, which the Vivats did not.

They are excellent cables.I have been using them for 3yrs.They are system dependent for sure, but definitely do not suck the life out of the music.
