I joined 10 years ago today.

I had gone through more than a decade without new equipment due to job loss, parenthood, mortgage and other commitments. Came to CAM looking for advice on my "stop gap" Pro-ject turntable while I figured out what to do about my ailing LP12. The Linn is long gone but the old Pro-ject is still a daily driver on the living room system.

I have learned so much here, tried a tonne of equipment and discovered a lot of music. Never been happier with my two systems (still all just entry level equipment) and I have also had a chance to meet a number of CAMers face to face.

Thanks to CAM, the moderators and all of the great members on here for 10 amazing years. :D

Happy Birthday lol.
This is simply an amazing community.
Like family.
Giving of information, caring about your concerns and also, once in a while, a good Christmas Dinner brouhaha.
Just like my life growing up.

lol

@Babi, to me you are a main pillar of CAM, you hold up what looks like most of the East Wing. That's the one with the step-or-two-up-from-entry-level small-but-good British systems and the abiding, curious love for music of all kinds, especially on vinyl. Any post seems related to these things, I easily think of you. Any of your posts show up in a thread, that thread is worth a look. Happy birthday and many more !

Happy 10th! I had mine a while back. I also went through a period of no equipment for 5-6 years, but my current setup I enjoy more than any previous.

CAM has certainly changed my life as far as audio goes. In the last 10+ years I have bought 100% of my equipment on the classifieds, or from dealers on here (actually there have been a couple kijiji purchases).
