Can anyone recommend a good quality region-free Blu-ray player, one that can preferably be purchased in Canada?

Thanks.

You mean walk into a store and buy one? I doubt you would find that very easily.

My last couple of Oppo's I have used the kits from blueraychip.dk:

SolutionsAV used to offer a mod with their Oppo's, but I am not sure they still do it. There was another Toronto supplier that would provide this, but I forget their name.

If all you want is region free DVD and not Blu=Ray, there are a lot of players that have a sequence of keys on the remote that can make the player region free. I had an old Magnavox that I turned region free in five minutes. You have to do your research.

There are some available on Amazon, just go to Amazon Canada and type in Region free bluray player.
You'll get quite a few hits. I don't know how well they work, since I have never used one.

A Linux computer will do the job.
