Not sure if they have any in stock or on display but Audio Excellence is a dealer. I've dealt with them before - good people.

Too bad you're not out west, I have a pair sitting in storage that I'd be glad to hookup for you.

Used to live in Northeast Calgary. No more road trip for me. That's a 36 hours drive to Edmonton

You must be zooming along. Did Saskatoon to Toronto a few times as a kid with my Grandparents. 48 hrs, non-stop. :)

I did Winnipeg to Edmonton in 10 hours on my motorcycle and was only pulled over once! TO to YEG in 36 hours, you'd be really flying as it took me 3 days to ride TO via M/C.

In any event, feel free to stop over for a listen. :P

I saw Magnepans at Ovation Audio in Markham today. They are an excellent dealer here on CAM and one that also supports TAVES. Rickey Yan the owner is very knowledgeable and should be able to help you out.

Don't want to be a speed bump but.
Serial killer posts a dozen times or so and/or thief of high end equipment and then asks
to come to your home.
Not going to happen.
And, OP, I am not saying that you are those things but .....
Not going to happen.

I had to read that a couple times to get it. But I think he’s implying... “phishing”

I think it more likely that you'll lose your possessions either by random B&E, a close family member, friendly neighbour, or even the friend of a friend.

But I agree, you can't be too careful.

I wonder the same thing when someone pops up out of the blue (often a new or reasonably new member) and offers to pick up and forward items from sellers who will not ship.

I am sure that most of these offers are made in good faith, but like Rip said ... you can't be too careful these days.

My mobile home that I use for storage was broken into a couple winters ago. They stole a set of used truck tires, a leaf blower and some DVD's. I had stored in the mobile home my Stax cd player, Pioneer tx-9800 tuner, Bedini 150/150 amp, Acoustat model 4 speakers and NHT SB3 speakers. I also had some wood chisels, a couple of planes and few other things for working on guitars. None of this was touched. Apparently even thieves around here don't listen to music much. I have moved the stereo equipment (except the Acoustats) back into my basement just in case. I also put a larger padlock on the front mudroom door and two more on the front door inside (that they damaged by folding up the metal door).

That said I don't really like letting strangers check out my system or my collection of guitars at home. It is fun to share music with people I know but otherwise it makes me nervous. I do have a security system installed.
