Is your build going to be similar to the Overnight Sensation MTM design?

I think the Overnight unit uses smaller drivers, I will be using two 7" bass drivers and the box will not be ported.

David.

I can't wait to see how they turn out. The Dayton kits seem to be pretty on point for the price. I'm seriously considering building one of their subs (possibly just with the cab and switching out for my own pro drivers).

Watching this with great interest!

NON-ported kits are few and far between.

Good luck, and look forward to your progress.

Subscribing to this thread. I am very interested in both parts sourcing and design. I have found little in the way of reasonably priced materials in Canada. Good luck with your build.

While I did buy all the parts from Parts Express, it was not a "kit".

About 2 cubic feet per side?

Duratex is about the easiest finish. Just a sponge roller. Q-components up here.

About .9 per side. Two feet would be for ported. I have bought Duratex from Q before, thanks.

The face with the drivers will be Duratex, not sure if I will veneer or plastic laminate the rest of the box.

David.

Just curious, why did you not purchase the parts from Solen?

Ship to the boarder and pickup was cheaper.

I cut the sides and tops so far today.

Attached reinforcement strips to the sides where they will meet the baffle and get a heavy round over.

Biscuits are are for alignment so they don't slide all over the place.
