I reconfigured my upstairs 2-channel system today, and when I went to fire things up, the PowerCenter started to emit an alarm. Everything was working well last night.
I opened it up to see if something would be evident. Looked fine.
There is a circuit breaker on the back of the unit, but it seemed fine. The 'wiring ok' and 'ground ok' lights come on, but that is it. There is no power at the outlets.
Without getting into a debate about surge protectors etc., is there and easy and inexpensive repair for this unit?
I like the fact the PowerCenter sequences (time delays) the outlets so that my power amp is the last thing to turn on, and first thing to turn off.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Doug

Do you have the same issue with nothing plugged into it?

Manual, LED's page 17, troubleshooting page 21.

Yes, it sounds an alarm as soon as power is supplied to the unit.

The first 2 lights are green (OK), then nothing. Methinks she might be done......

I owned an HTS 5100 that died after about 4 years. Poor reliability led to them to discontinuing their power centers.

Frankly, Monster products are IMO junk. Avoid.
