At these times where the 4k is now available, we can say that 720 pixels for 50" is obsolete.
Doesn't worth it.

Additionally, Runco is no more. So keep it and enjoys beacue the $250 you might get will not be worth it.

Unfortunately, its not worth much at all.

Fortunately, it would probably still smoke any new box store 50"

I'd keep it and enjoy it!

If it still works well I would probably keep it. If you sit far enough away 720p (or 1080i) is still quite watchable and the Runco plasma tv has a nice picture. I am going to keep my Samsung 60" (1080p) plasma for a long time (hopefully).

I also have two Mitsubishi hc5 projectors (1080p) that, with extra bulbs, should last me for quite some time as well. I am sure 4k is better but I am satisfied with my current tv's. There is more to a picture than just resolution.

Amen to that! When I want to watch a blu-ray, I go in the basement & rock my Pioneer 720P plasma. Component cable (yes I said component cable) has a greyscale & color accuracy on this TV that I just cannot believe. It also renders optical depth of field beautifully. You can literally sit there & call the lenses shot-by-shot, 50mm, 85, 28, etc. If it ain't broke, use it.
