I have heard today that Alexander Savastian died suddenly at age of 41! Another great musician gone at very early age.
He is an accordion virtuoso - just listen to this rendition of Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 565. Amazing sound and technique!
He was member of Quartetto Gelato as well!

That's too young for anybody ... he was marvellous on the accordion. I'm a classical listener, but never encountered his music before. Thanks for sharing.

Out of respect for the deceased, please correct the spelling of "peace".

I was very impressed by that video and others I found on You Tube.
It figures, a great Canadian talent that I had never heard-of, very close-by.
I went to Amazon last night and scooped-up two Analekta CDs (very good quality recordings) before the very limited supply disappears.
Thanks for posting.
