I know a loaded question. I have a small system I want to put "upgraded" cables on. The cd player is about $1,500, the amp about $2,000, the speakers about $1,500. I want 2 power cords, 2 sets of rcas, and a set of speaker cables. Looking for suggestions similar to Blue Jeans cable, Zu,etc.. In terms of pricing. New or used doesn't matter.
Thanks.

Canadiansnowland,

I like Blue Jeans cable but also use CHORD Company C-Line RCA's as well.

I highly recommend contacting Lewis Frisch of Gotham Cables. I'm running Gotham throughout and it sounds as good or better in my system than any of the mid priced big name cable players for 10% of the price. YMMV, but it certainly works well for me

I've used BJC with good results. I'd scour the CAM cable ads and go shopping. I've bought most of my cables from there.
XLO, Wireworld,Gutwire to name a few at prices far less than new.

You can try Unity Audio I think he is user cableguy. I had great dealings with him, he went above and beyond and made me a custom cable with 1 end rca and the other end a bnc at a fair price.

+1 - I recently got two pair of Unity Audio RCA interconnects. Very well made, very competitive price, and made in Canada to boot. I plan on buying more.

I currently have these preferred:

Canare 4S12F (made in Japan)
Mogami 3103 (made in Japan)
Mogami 2921 (made in Japan)
Belden 500UE (made in US ?)

My favourite is the Mogami line
Very high quality and affordably priced

Think it would be a good idea to list your equipment,
as some pieces are highly sensitive to cables while others are not.
Also, certain cables match particular pieces of equipment much better than others.

Also, what is it you are trying to improve ?

For power cords, if you have basic wiring skills,
seriously consider the DIY route.

+1 ... That would be my recommendation. Excellent workmanship and high quality components. Gene is very helpful, and a real nice guy too.
