Is there a way to search "sold" items at CAM?
I need to sell a couple NAD amps and was woundering what previous sellers had been asking for them here?
By searching past posts, finding a market acceptable price point would be much easier.
Thanks!

I wouldn't put much stock in the posted prices of sold items. A number of members will set the price to zero before they mark ads as sold, or they will change the price up or down to throw people off. Blame the gear-flippers, who don't want a paper-trail. If you do want to pull up sold ads, Google the item make and model along with Canuck Audio Mart and you should find those ads. Like I said though, don't trust the prices that are shown.

If you can use one of those newfangled Internets, you can post photos in your damn classified ads.

I don't know if this search is offered directly on CAM, but I have a couple of ways of doing about the same thing:

1. Use hifishark to search and look at the "Sold/Expired" tab
2. Use Google and search for the item and "Canuck" and many times old ads will show up. It's not perfect...

Option 1 usually provides very good results.

Yes, and also try http://www.hifishark.com as they show expired listings from CAM and other sites.

You could also try Kruipen, they list asking prices over time in USD. I have found the results to be a little on the high side, but it's another data point for you.

Try googling the item sold..it at times will show the sold item from Cam and E bay and other sites. I personally track sold items on E bay all the time.

A friend suggested the following and it's worked pretty well for me. Say I'm looking for information about how Dynaco 400 amplifiers were priced on CAM listings.

In your browser's URL box type: canuckaudiomart:Dynaco 400. Then press the enter key.

You'll get a number of hits this way. This will include Sold, Current, and Expired listings.

Another way would be the following search string:

Dynaco 400 site:canuckaudiomart.com

ALL of your suggestions worked and I have found quite a few sold ads at CAM from the past few years.
Cheers and VERY much appreciated!
