Stopping in for business over the next two days. I was hoping some locals could help me out. I have time to stop at 1 Hifi shop and one record shop. Which one would be best suited for me. I am looking for some cables , feet and a few other small little goodies. For vinyl I am looking for new and used, more progressive rock, jazz the better.

Thanks

If you are a tube amp enthusiast, go to Coup de Foudre in Little Italy on Clarke st.

Keep it all in one vicinity: Audioville at 4340 St-Denis and Aux 33 Tours at 1373 Mont-Royal Ave E.

While you are in the area get some bagels at Fairmount Bagel at 74 Avenue Fairmount O and an espresso at Cafe Olimpico at 124 Rue St-Viateur Ouest.

The above recommendations are all good. My own go-to store is Son Idéal on Côte des Neiges. Claude and Rob have always been great to talk to and deal with.

Check out Art et Son on Boulevard Saint-Laurent. Rob is the owner, and is a great guy. He carries some very interesting brands, not your average mainstream stuff.

Have fun!

Yup, nice people and I would recommend going next door for pastries at the Duc de Lorraine.

I have been many times to aux33tours.

Lot's to choose from, but also, I have found them to be priced unreasonably high on many items.

I would recommend Aux33 and Coupe De Foudre - they are also not too far from one another by car.

Aux33 has a good collection of jazz, in particular of Japanese pressings. Prices are decent for the quality and selection.

Graeme at CDF always has some great systems setup and is always a pleasure to visit and chat with.
