Just getting this deck and cleaning it up.
So far sounds very rich and I am enjoying it.
It was exclusively released into the Canadian market so maybe there are others here who can help with any specifics, but, the general issue (which may be common to other decks) is that the tone arm simply has a "sticking point." It simply stops progressing. During play, I mean.

Now then, I have not yet opened it up to look, but what should I be looking for? What would cause such a thing? Is it something "simple" that I'm over looking (like anti-skate setting or something like that)?

Cheers!

Sounds like the tonearm vertical shaft has a bind in it or may need some lube ~
Remove the stylus and reset the balance to allow the tonearm to float midair.
Place the tonearm over the record lead in groove area and gently blow on the arm to
make it move inward. Note the spot if and where it binds up or stops.
You can then work it back and forth to feel if there indeed a binding spot in the vertical shaft.
Most likely you will have to access this area from the open bottom side get some lube in there

FRom what I can see, this may have been a rebranded Hitachi PS-48 turntable

Looks like the strobe was relocated to create a difference and some plated parts !
