Tonight here in Peterborough...Classic Albums Live: Rush 2112...I'm sure they'll sprinkle in some other treats before they leave the stage...Tom Sawyer...A Farewell To Kings...Closer to The Heart...If you've never seen Classic Albums Live or are otherwise unaware of them...they are a collective of dozens of musicians from around the country (based out of Toronto)...they tour classic rock albums from the 60s, 70s, 80s and are known for a "note for note" reproduction...the wife and I have been to several (The Wall, Crime Of The Century, Bat Out of Hell, Sticky Fingers)...maybe tonight they'll do a couple of Max Webster tunes as a warm up... :)

only one stands out for these ears: Diane Schurr and Count Basie Orchestra on GRP. It easily rivals studio recordings and a fine sounding horn section, which is hard to achieve.

In Toronto they used to have something similar at The Danforth Music Hall.

I'm jealous.
We have a party, celebration thing I have to attend tonight, otherwise I would have been there Stone.
I love that album.
Make sure you submit a review!
Paul

Huh? :D

Apparently not everyone understands what 'Classic Albums Live' is.

The shows are a real treat.
I've seen Animals at Massey Hall and Imagine, Band On The Run at Roy Thompson Hall.

I saw classics albums live, The White Album and Zeppelin IV both great shows. They were a few years back at the old Phoenix club on Sherbourne St. in Toronto.

I saw Classic Albums live at the Phoenix ... must be at least ten years ago. It was Rubber Soul and Revolver and the encore was the two singles Day tripper/We Can Work It Out and Paperback Writer/Rain.

I'm a hard core Beatle fanatic and I can tell you ... it was like a needle drop but live. Real sitar player for the George parts, string quartet (Elenor Rigby) and an amazing array of super talented people ... and I mean lots of people. Several singers and a lot of people on stage playing/singing all the overdubs etc. No crazy outfits ... not a tribute band, but a bunch of true musicians doing a note-for-note recreation.

10/10 experience for me. A close your eyes and ...wt* good.

A friend of mine saw Exile on Main St ... same experience for him as well.

I'm sure the Rush concert will be fantastic ... not a big fan but it will most certainly delight.
