Welcome. It's made with a liquid that is common, easy to obtain but highly problematic in use.
It's called snake oil.

AudiOCD is an affliction that causes the sufferer to spend thousands of dollars on dubious products, followed by months of Internet searches to justify his decision. Then he convinces himself that his purchase has changed his life, and that he can magically hear things in music that the musicians didn't actually play ... Then he upgrades. Repeat.

Since the heavier elements like copper, silver and gold are fused in collapsing stars, it's safe to say all cables are made of stellar material from outer space. Nothing special here.

You know full well that there is no place for reason in a cable thread. Now sit in the corner and think about what you just did, while we all wait for the liquid metal guy to educate us. 8)

It is all about conspicuous consumption. I used to be a member of an exotic car club. Members used to sit around and share stories about how much their repair bills were (no kidding). I still have the car but am no longer a member of their club 8)

People drop stupid amounts of money on nonsensical items in order to be able to brag about it....which is a waste of both human and financial potential IMO. You are not missing a thing by not spending your money on this sort of stuff.

Hi,

An advertisement for 'Black Hole Audio Cables' in 2090.

When two collapsing neutron stars collide you get a black hole so powerful that gravity waves can be detected right here on earth at huge scientific cost. Now, within the 'event horizon' of these cataclysmic stellar events, and just at the exact moment before matter and light disappear and get crushed forever (or so we think) we have devised a technique to capture, separate and purify the atomic particles of any still available and 'free' electro-conductive metals. We call this technique 'black hole mining' and all our audio cables, as well as our company, benefit staggeringly from employing this extremely expensive and rare recovery process. Within our range we offer only the highest quality cables, attractively priced (starting at $1 Billion), so you will be sure to find a specific cable that will doubtless exceed your wildest expectations.

Cheers,
David Neice

We'll still need cables in 2090? I'm out.

As good as that sounds, I see a problem. The benefits of this technology will be swamped if the traces of the PCB’s are not made from this material, or the connectors, or even the solder used. I’ll wait this one out.

Hey there moose.

Your first post was a shot across the bow of the entire enterprise. The guys here kindly gave you solid laughs in return. Please feel free to stick around. But if you're passing through and randomly looking for blood, have the decency to acknowledge the people here before you go.
