I have a pair of Monitor Audio Silver 10 and I'm looking for the best integrated amp for them. I was thinking about Arcam A29, denon 1520 or maybe some used ones. Or maybe some other models?
Thank you

Not a Silver 10, but I paired a Silver 6 with a Wyred for Sound STI-500 Integrated with amazing results.

How about a Krell S300i? That's one of my options for the MA S10's..

Hi,

The Canadian MA distributor pairs the MA line with Roksans. Exposure gear has a similar sound signature and is widely paired with MA speakers in the UK. Happy hunting.

Cheers,

I have Anthem 225 with Silver 10. They are not great but OK and I can live with the sound. The speakers have to be 6ft from the back wall, very awkward. Tried Finale 168 prior to 225. Not a good match.

First time I've heard MA s 10 was with Roksan(and it was great), but that model might be above my budget. Second option is use my azur 740a as a pre amp and plug him into ROKSAN KANDY KMA-2/3 MKIII(used is cheap) maybe this gonna help control this speakers.

Those are all decent amps at that price point and have enough power to adequately drive your speakers (which are 90 dB). But they will sound very different from one another.

Only you can determine which one sounds "best".

I have a set of MA Silver RS8's and I agree it depends what kind of sound you want to hear. Deep bass, clear midrange, screaming highs.
I have tried it with regular vintage receivers such as Yamaha RX-V850, Pioneer XVS 9700S and an old Fisher Studio Series CR865 and they sound great.
The quality of sound is in the ears of the beholder.

Roksan are fantastic with Silvers. Hegel is great as well.

I got to hear a Sonneteer Orton with even more revealing speaker (and Silvers aren't shy on that front) and it's just amazing sounding. I have to imagine that combo would just perform well beyond it's price.

I wouldn't rule out tubes either. If you want to try them, Silvers don't need much to come alive.

As long as you've got a good source to match. Silvers won't hide much.

I would say go with any integrated amp with a good reputation for giving an honest performance AND one that has a good blue-chip resale value in case you don't like the sound. Many to choose from. Recommendations are SO subjective.

You might even change your speakers in the future before you change your amp...

I used to own a pair of Silver 1's and they paired quite nicely with a Yamaha R-S500 so I would think that either a A-S801 or A-S1100 would work really well with the Silver 10's.
