I have a few custom sized cables that were mostly a result of me wanting shorter power cables.

I've generally used Marinco or Leviton as those were the most accessible and affordable.

Thing is they're big. I plugged all my units into an APC power condition and despite some room between sockets the male plugs are rubbing against each other.

I was wondering if there were any decent and affordable male plugs with a slightly slimmer profile.

Not that I'm aware of, it's due to the physical parameters being a part of the NEMA design spec.

Eagle and Leviton make some slimmer ones, but they are all brass. Depends on the slimmer aspect, height or width being slimmer, depends on your power bars/conditioner's given female socket implementation..

Is this the kind of plug your looking for?

There's a hospital grade version too.

Every electrical supplier including Home Depot and Lowes carries plugs like this.
These should be more than narrow enough.
NEMA ratings are just blade specification. It has nothing to do with the housing.

Thanks Dan, I think the ones you linked to might work. I googled for what felt like an eternity at the time(!) and never came across that website either.
